The Remède Spa at The St. Regis Deer Valley
2300 Deer Valley Dr E, 435.940.5830
Step into the elegant Remède Spa, featuring two levels connected by a grand spiral staircase, and melt your worries away with a decadent massage or facial in one of the 11 treatment rooms, some with fireplaces, soaking tubs, and patios. Warm up after a chilly day of skiing at Deer Valley Resort with the Hot Poultice Massage, which combines herbs wrapped in cloth and a customized oil that is then steamed and used to massage fatigued muscles. Or, pamper your parched winter skin with the Ultimate Oxygen Infusion Facial: two hydrating, anti-aging serums are deeply infused into the skin using the Intraceuticals Oxygen Machine. The spa also offers oxygen inhalation therapy, energy work, and yoga and meditation classes.
Covid considerations: The spa is offering a slightly paired-down treatment menu in order to follow CDC guidelines. Every room is thoroughly sanitized after each treatment, and all spa personnel and clients must wear masks and are given temperature checks.
Spa Montage Deer Valley
9100 Marsac Ave, 435.604.1300
Highlights of this luxe alpine oasis include an indoor mosaic lap pool with mountain views; various meditation areas; and Spa Montage’s abundant menu of services, including Tata Harper facials, high-altitude recentering, lymphatic drainage, and more. Try the new “Peace Within” treatment: this ayurveda-inspired experience starts with a balancing aromatherapy essence and chime ritual. A dosha-specific massage oil is then applied to your body’s energy centers along the spine to create openness and flow. An ayurvedic kansa wand is massaged along the spine to awaken the chakras, followed by a customized full-body massage. Afterward, the kansa wand is used on your face and neck to soothe, tone, and release stress. The treatment culminates with a traditional Shirodhara—an ayurvedic procedure of slowly dripping medicated oil or liquid on the forehead—to bring deep rest to the nervous system and an awakening scalp massage to the sound of meditative chimes. If you prefer to find inner peace through a good old-fashioned workout, the spa’s fitness options include yoga, pilates, spin, dance, and Elignabar.
Covid considerations: Guest temperatures are taken at check-in, masks are required for all treatments, and the spa requires a 30-minute clean time for therapists to diligently disinfect. The spa’s sauna and steam room are temporarily closed, but the pool and whirlpool are open at a limited capacity and with social-distancing cues in place.
