Building Community and Prosperity in the Heber Valley

a new chapter of mountain living is unfolding in the Heber Valley. Meet The Slope, an upscale, mixed-use alpine village in Heber City by Angstrom Development Group, which is weaving its ties to the region into this new community.
“All of us at Angstrom Development Group have long-standing personal and family connections to the area—whether we live here or spend vacations here with our families,” says partner Neil Goldman. “For me, my wife, Ashley, grew up skiing in Deer Valley, and we’ve loved sharing this special place with our girls over the years. This isn’t just a development project; it’s a deeply personal endeavor.”
Situated along the Provo River and a short hop from Deer Valley’s emerging East Village, life at The Slope will center around a boutique, 86-room luxury hotel and more than 200 residences (including condo-hotel suites and townhomes) that fan out to frame a lively plaza, complete with 100,000 square feet of shops and restaurants. The property will feature architecture by the renowned minds at Gomez Vazquez International—think soaring rooflines, warm wood, and inviting light.

“We’re building The Slope as an architectural and experiential masterpiece that reimagines how people experience the outdoors together,” says Goldman. “The property features a striking year-round tubing hill and a walkable alpine village, all anchored by our resort and branded residences. The Slope will bring together fun, food, family, and fitness where dining, wellness, and recreation converge naturally. Whether it’s fishing in the Provo River in summer or sled tracks in winter, we’ve designed every amenity to foster genuine connections throughout the seasons.”
Angstrom Development Group recently announced its commitment to a philanthropic partnership with the community, pledging $1,000 for every residence sold to the Wasatch Community Foundation (WCF), which focuses on enhancing local programs in education, health, housing, and community development. With 202 residential units planned, this investment will total approximately $202,000, directly supporting WCF as it celebrates its 25th anniversary. The pledged funds will center around creating a dedicated platform for children’s well-being, ensuring that every dollar benefits local youth.

Additionally, the hotel component of the project is expected to generate $4.45 million annually in tax revenue that will support city and state services. The project is set to create more than 1,000 local jobs, offering a significant boost to the Heber Valley labor market, and will include 130 housing units to support the local workforce.
“We’re committed not only to building an extraordinary resort and community hub for locals and visitors, but to building prosperity for Heber Valley,” says Goldman. “Our goal is to offer great jobs with livable wages, meaningful experiences, and memories for generations to come. Our donations to Wasatch Community Foundation are just the beginning. We are excited to continue investing in future initiatives that give back to this incredible community.”
