Park City Proper: 84060 "Burbs"

Think lemonade stands, golf carts, and a Subaru-meets-Tesla crowd. Centrally located but outside the Old Town fray, Park Meadows and Thaynes are a mix of old-school, ’80s-era developments and newer hillside estates. Here, young families and longtime locals live side-by-side with empty nesters, snowbirds, and second homeowners. Thaynes, which abuts the ski slopes, has a municipal golf course and is an ever-so-quick hop to Old Town. Park Meadows has a country club, the PC MARC (municipal recreation/tennis facility), and easy access to Round Valley open space. Both have small parks, plus a restaurant (or two) and a hotel on their respective peripheries.

Take a spin class or make a splash in the pool at the PC MARC. Tee off at Park City Municipal Golf Course, or befriend a Park Meadows country club member for a round of links-style golf. Ride or bike the single track via various Round Valley trailheads (Park Meadows), or access some of the area’s most popular hiking and biking trails, such as Armstrong and Dawn’s, from Thaynes. For a mellow cruise, check out the McLeod Creek trail, and for jumps and pump tracks, go big at the Dirt Jump Park (adjacent to Creekside Park).
