Castle Peak Yurt

Take a weekend to recharge and reconnect deep in the wilderness of the Uinta Mountains at the Castle Peak Yurt (435.649.8710, whitepinetouring.com). Getting there is half the fun—the trip requires a 2,000-foot elevation gain and complete self-reliance. Hike, snowmobile, ski, or snowshoe in, and remember to pack warm sleeping bags and blankets. The yurt is stocked with all the basics: bunk beds with camp-style mattresses, a three-burner gas stove and cooking accoutrements, wood stove, and a wood-burning sauna. Bring along a cache of gourmet food and spirits, plenty of hot chocolate, and make a memory. $200 per night includes lodging for up to eight people.
