LIVE IN Boulder, Colorado OCCUPATIONS She’s a graphic designer at American Express; he’s a furniture designer and builder. HOW THEY MET On a dating app KNOWING HE/SHE WAS THE ONE Nick knew 20 minutes into their first date. Kaitlyn thought Nick was too good to be true, but after meeting his family, she knew. BACHELOR/BACHELORETTE PARTY The ladies went to Sonoma, California, to drink wine and eat pizza. The gentlemen went to Nashville, Tennessee, to drink whiskey, go line dancing, and—says Kaitlyn— “bro out.” WEDDING DAY WEATHER Cloudy to sunny to thunderstorms WEDDING COLORS Lavender & sage NUMBER OF GUESTS 102 WEDDING TIME 5 p.m. FLOWERS Wildflowers, sage, lavender, and moss CAKE Lemon raspberry with cream cheese frosting and an ombré lavender design SAVED All things paper. Kaitlyn designed all her invitations, signage, table cards, and menus. SPLURGED The venue. They wanted everything to be convenient and worthwhile for their guests. TRADITIONAL ELEMENT Nick waiting to see Kaitlyn until her walk down the aisle FIRST DANCE “Dancing in the Moonlight” by Toploader. They can’t help but dance every time that song comes on, and their wedding night happened to fall on a full moon. FAVORS Goodie bags. Kaitlyn and Nick’s favorite goodies included handmade clay coasters by Kaitlyn’s grandmother and customized decks of cards with their wedding date printed on them. GROOMSMEN GIFTS Nick crafted handmade pizza cutters, bottle openers, and wine stoppers with different woods to match each of his groomsmen’s personalities. WHY UTAH Park City is their happy place and is located between both their families in New York and California. HONEYMOON Kaitlyn wanted to go on a safari, and Nick wanted to swim with great white sharks, so they chose Africa.
