LIVE IN Sandy OCCUPATIONS Chris is the owner of Silver Summit Event Design; Jacoby is an entrepreneur. HOW THEY MET Online WHERE THEY GOT ENGAGED In New York City; they had just seen a Broadway play, and as they left the theater Jacoby said he had to tie his shoe, but he got down on one knee and proposed. WEDDING STYLE Casual but classy, intimate, and nontraditional NUMBER OF GUESTS 40 DÉCOR DETAILS They filled their outdoor ceremony with voluminous pampas grass and hung lush floral chandeliers over the reception tables. They wanted to include elements that made the reception feel like an autumn feast: persimmons, blackberry vines with berries, and pomegranates. FUN & GAMES They set up lounge seating and added games, including pool tables, cards, shuffleboard, and Nintendo Wii so their guests could relax and have fun. They also included a sketch photo booth where guests sat down and had quick portraits drawn of them. MENU Butler-passed margaritas served in mini bottles of Patrón Silver and with mini pulled pork tacos; food stations including mezzaluna salad, pan-seared black cod with honey-soy glaze, smoked short ribs with potato mash; a sushi bar; and individual cheese-tasting boards customized with the phrase “Praise Cheeses!” which guests took home as gifts. DRINKS His and His cocktails: Hendrick’s gin + rose lemonade; Kraken dark rum + Diet Coke DESSERT Butler-passed cronuts and cotton candy; fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies; passionfruit gelato; vanilla gelato served affogato-style with espresso and Baileys; and a dark chocolate and peanut butter wedding cake hand-painted to look like stained glass. THE DAY IN THREE WORDS Fun, casual, intimate HONEYMOON Halloween in New Orleans and EDC music festival in Orlando

Our menu was inspired by the places we’ve traveled to together: barbecue for Austin; sushi for Honolulu; and cronuts, fresh-baked cookies, and cotton candy for New York. —CHRIS & JACOBY
