LIVE IN Huntington Beach, California OCCUPATIONS She’s a sample coordinator for REVOLVE/FORWARD; he’s the CEO and founder of Zero Energy WHERE THEY MET On a weekend cruise to Ensenada, Mexico HOW THEY GOT ENGAGED They woke up before sunrise in Moab, hiked to Delicate Arch, and he proposed. His family and a photographer were hiding and surprised her after. WEDDING STYLE Inspired by their ranch venue, they incorporated rustic elements but elevated the vibe with modern, geometric décor details and a mix of metals, wood, glass, and copper NUMBER OF GUESTS 100 FLOWERS Lots of greenery—eucalyptus, Russian olive, and rosemary— and simple white blooms, plus a few peach dahlias FAVORITE CEREMONY MOMENT They wrote their own vows and read them to each other; they both laughed and cried. It was an emotional rollercoaster but by far their favorite part of the day. DIY DETAILS They created their save-the-dates and a Polaroid photo booth; the groom made the altar, cake stand, and escort-card holders out of copper pipe; his sister reupholstered the chairs for the sweetheart table; the bride’s stepdad made the table numbers; and their friend hand-painted the escort cards SPLURGED On their caterer; the food quality and presentation was really important to them MENU Farm-to-table formal, plated dinner; choice of pan-seared halibut with sweet corn zabaglione and fava bean salad or mesquite-grilled chicken breast with caramelized onions, bacon, and brussels sprouts DESSERT Lemon cake with buttercream and raspberries, flaming donut station with gelato, and Utah artisan chocolate tasting with cheese, berries, and figs FIRST DANCE “Me and You” by Kenny Chesney THE DAY IN THREE WORDS Joyful, emotional, memorable HONEYMOON Bali

From the moment we drove onto TAG Ranch, Rachael knew it was the venue. She had her own unique ideas of how she envisioned the layout, and everything came together to create her dream wedding. —Mary Crafts-Homer, Culinary Crafts
