6 Cat-Eye Makeup Ideas For Your Bridal Beauty Look

CLASSIC CAT EYE
“This timeless, feminine look never goes out of style,” says makeup artist Brynn Thomas. To get the look, “draw a thin line from the inside corner of your top lash line to the end of your lashes,” instructs hair and makeup artist Gabby Gabbitas. “Make the end a little thicker and flick it out to create a triangle shape.”
THIN CAT EYE
“This look works best for brides with heavier upper eyelids or brides who are worried that their eyes might look too small,” says Thomas. “A thinner line leaves more of your eyelid exposed; add a highlighting shadow to open up your eye area.”
GLITTER CAT EYE
“This look is perfect for glam brides,” says Thomas. “Start with a classic cat eye, and then add a very thin line of glitter along the upper edge.” She likes NYX Cosmetics’ Liquid Crystal Liner in Crystal Pewter; Gabbitas likes Chanel’s Illusion D’Ombre in Vision. “To fix mistakes, dip a Q-tip in makeup remover or Vaseline and use it to erase any smudges,” says Gabbitas.
BOLD CAT EYE
“This modern look is not for the faint of heart,” says Thomas. Gabbitas recommends using MAC Pro Long Wear Fluidline applied with a small angled-tip brush. To help thick liner stay put, Thomas suggests setting your entire eyelid with Urban Decay Primer Potion and then adding Makeup Forever HD Translucent Powder up to the brow bone.
WHITE CAT EYE
“This look is perfect for boho brides,” says Thomas. Line your upper and lower lashes with a gray pencil before applying white liner. For an ethereal glow, Gabbitas likes Stila Kajal eye liner in Pearl. Add a thick coat of mascara or false lashes and keep the rest of your makeup soft and glowy.
SOFT CAT EYE
“The trick here is to use a super pigmented shadow instead of a traditional liner,” says Thomas. Try Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Eyeshadow Palette; Thomas mixes shades Lethal and Blackjack. Use a thick angled brush to stamp the shadow along your lash line, add a flick at the end, and slightly blend upward along the entire lash line.
