LIVE IN The Avenues OCCUPATIONS Troy is a recruiter for a financial services company; David is the senior vice president of O.C. Tanner HOW THEY MET On Facebook. David appeared as a “friend you might know” for Troy, and Troy sent a friend request. David didn’t know him, so he messaged Troy back asking if they knew each other. While they were messaging, David was working remotely at the Coffee Garden and two minutes later Troy walked in. They chatted for about three hours and set up a date for the next day. HOW THEY GOT ENGAGED Troy created a hard-bound book with pictures of dates and activities they’d done together, starting at the Coffee Garden and ending on a page with a picture of the ring. They were on a secluded island in the Bahamas when Troy pulled the book and ring out and asked David to marry him.
