Step Up Your Fitness Fashion at the Fabletics Grand Opening at City Creek Center

The online brand Fabletics is bringing it's stylish, Kate Hudson-approved activewear and athleisure to a new brick-and-mortar location in Salt Lake City.

Our Kate Hudson girl crush was in full effect at last month's VIP preview of the new Fabletics store opening at City Creek Center. Co-founded by the bubbly blonde actress (she'll always be our favorite Penny Lane), the popular online brand is known for it's monthly subscription plan featuring flattering, on-trend activewear. But following in the fashionable footsteps of other e-tailers like Warby Parker and Nasty Gal, Fabletics is evolving beyond e-commerce into brick-and-mortar locations, and the City Creek Center store is the latest in a series of Fabletics retail openings.

Salt Lake City is only the sixth spot in the U.S. to welcome a Fabletics outpost, chosen thanks to a large membership-base, but also thanks to our love for the great outdoors and our active lifestyles (yay us!). The bright, new store—located on the second floor of City Creek Center between J. Jill and Brooks Brothers—offers up capris, tanks, hoodies, bras, and joggers, all fit for activities from yoga to running to pilates. The clothing comes in bold colors, cool patterns, and sleek black styles. New styles and limited-edition prints are released online every month, and they'll be available in-store too.

There's also a selection of cute and comfy athleisure items like dresses and rompers to take you from the gym to brunch with the girls, as well as a new swim collection—perfect to pack for beach and adventure-filled honeymoons. During our visit, the boutique's upbeat tunes, energetic staff, and dressing-room mirrors decorated with encouraging words ("Hey, beautiful!" "That looks good on you!"), as well as wallet-friendly price tags, made shopping at Fabletics IRL a truly fun experience.

The Fabletics grand opening celebration at City Creek Center goes down this Saturday, September 24 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Festivities for shoppers include light refreshments—plus bubbly!—a performance by an acroyoga artist, and a grand opening sale. Today through Saturday, the store is offering 20% off all purchases and a complimentary pair of their best-selling black Salar Capris with a $49 purchase for the first 50 customers each day. The Salar Capris do wonders for the derriere—trust us—so get your booty to downtown Salt Lake this weekend.
