WHAT: Date-night just got a whole lot cooler: the annual Midway Ice Castles are set to open tonight! But if you want to stroll mitten in mitten through the acre-sized Narnia-like winter wonderland with your beloved, this weekend (and Monday) may be your only chance to do it due to warmer temps in this season's forecast.

The Ice Castles not only make a fun night out, they're also a stunning backdrop for engagement and bridal photos—like the image above by Jacque Lynn Photography—thanks to icy archways, tunnels, slot canyons, caverns, slides, a glacial waterfall, and a frozen throne.
