From the Runway: Pronovias 2015 Preview Collection

By Tessa Woolf April 23, 2014

Barcelona-based bridal company Pronovias celebrates its golden anniversary this year. The Spanish firm presented their first collection of pret-a-porter gowns for novias at a small boutique in the mid-60s; today, Pronovias has 200 stores in more than 90 countries, from Spain and the U.S. to Japan and South Africa.

To mark the occasion of 50 years of style, the Pronovias and Atelier Pronovias 2015 preview collections feature designs inspired by the company's history and infused with modern details. Highlights include bodice + skirt bridal separates (an emerging trend in wedding-wear that we love); Ottoman and mikado silk fabrics used to craft structured, streamlined gowns; vintage headdresses including sequined headbands and Gatsby-era nets; dresses in pink, apricot, and beige hues; and artistic details like hand-embroidery, wrap-over necklines, and bejeweled bodices.
