You may recognize today's featured bride, McKenzie Mayne, from the Look Smart section of our current issue. Mayne and her hubby, Levi Roberts, got hitched last September—September 22 to be exact. Hot on the heels of their one-year anniversary, we're spotlighting the couple's wedding on the blog today, photographed by Kirstin Roper and Amy Rau.

McKenzie, a social worker, and Levi, a civil engineer, grew up just a few blocks away from each other, so they decided to get married where it all started: in their old 'hood. The nuptials took place in the backyard of a friend's private estate in Sandy. The duo wanted their wedding to be relaxed, simple, and full of love, and they wanted their friends and family to have a good time. Their laid-back attitude about the big day led to a casual backyard celebration with a bohemian vibe. We love McKenzie's custom wedding dress designed with delicate lace sleeves, and the reception's yummy taco and soda carts!
