NAMES Tauri Stevens and Dylan Tucker LIVE IN Herriman OCCUPATIONS They work for the same mortgage brokerage firm WHERE THEY MET In California, where she’s from, and he served part of his LDS mission. It was love at first sight, but they didn’t reconnect until a few years later when she moved to Utah. They were married almost seven years to the day after they met WHAT ATTRACTED HER TO HIM His spiritual side, sense of humor, green eyes, and freckles WHAT ATTRACTED HIM TO HER  Her dimples and singing voice WHERE HE PROPOSED On an empty residential lot where their house now stands—it was meaningful, emotional, and long overdue WEDDING WEATHER Unexpected rain in the morning but sun for the wedding; temperatures reached 100 degrees NUMBER OF GUESTS 40 at the ceremony and dinner; 250 at the reception WEDDING BUDGET $15,000, but the final tab was closer to $20,000 COLORS Navy-blue, peach, and muted gold BRIDAL STYLE Vintage ballerina WARDROBE DETAILS The bride’s mom, a designer and seamstress, made her vintage lace and tulle ball gown; she adored the dress and her dusty-rose shoes PERSONAL TOUCH The bride’s mom surprised her by sewing a piece of her own wedding gown into the silk lining of the high-low ball gown skirt FLOWERS Lush arrangements including peonies, garden roses, ranunculus, and spray roses RECEPTION MENU FAVORITES Chicken piccata with capers and almond-butter sauce, and a dessert table with cookies, cake pops, mini fruit pies, and six peach-hued buttercream cakes including chocolate with salted caramel CAKE Two-tier German chocolate cake with white buttercream and gold confetti décor FIRST DANCE SONG “Green Eyes” by Coldplay performed by The Gatsby’s FAVORS FOR GUESTS Mini jars of Bonne Maman strawberry jam THE DAY IN THREE WORDS Exciting, busy, complete HONEYMOON Mexican Riviera cruise

Our favorite ceremony moment was when our eyes met while I walked down the aisle. Our favorite reception moment was the father-daughter and mother-son dance to ‘Moon River.’
