Photo Diary: Silhouette Artist Karl Johnson Visits Maison Confiserie et Boutique
Last month, Salt Lake City's Maison Confiserie et Boutique welcomed master silhouette artist Karl Johnson of Cut Arts to the Beehive State. Johnson set up shop, er, desk in Maison for a day of hand-cutting portraits of local gals, guys, kiddos, and dogs (yes, dogs--we Utahns love our pups!). Check out these lovely snapshots of Johnson in action at the whimsical event by Erin Kate Photography.
Love what you see? Consider hiring Martha Stewart Weddings-approved Johnson or a silhouette artist to create hand-cut portraits of guests at your nuptials. Not only will they provide a fun activity and entertainment for wedding-goers, your guests will go home with a memorable wedding favor!
And if you haven't taken a trip to Maison yet, be sure to add the Parisian-inspired boutique to your weekend shopping route. The pretty shop is filled with charming gifts, home goods, and entertaining essentials. And did we mention the endless shelves filled with jars of colorful old-fashioned candies and deliciously addictive malted milk balls? Yeah, the ensuing sugar rush is reason enough to visit.
