Ladies Who Brunch: Styled Spring Bridal Shower by Petal Pixie

By Tessa Woolf April 5, 2013

One thing I look forward to every weekend (besides sleeping in) is Sunday brunch. Bacon, buttered toast, Bloody Mary's--what's not to love? Brunch is more special than regular ol breakfast but more casual than lunch or dinner, making it the perfect opportunity to catch up with friends while lingering over yummy food and tasty beverages. Which is precisely why we heart the idea of a bridal shower brunch. We're not alone in our love of mid-morning celebrations: Check out this sweet spring bridal shower brunch designed by Kim Watt of Petal Pixie. There are tons of cute and easy ideas to incorporate into your own brunch bash, from the frothy mason-jar drinks to the eggshell candles. Dig in!

Kim shares her inspiration for the spring bridal shower brunch and details about the decor:

When designing this shoot I knew I wanted to do something simple yet full of fun DIY details. One of my favorite things is to get together with friends over yummy treats, so a bridal shower brunch would be right up my alley.

I love the fresh colors of the invitation and the gold glittered ribbon. The table is simple yet packed with all sorts of great details. I love the elegance of white linens--everything you put on them looks so clean and fresh. I used antique silver stemware for a touch of vintage, and a variety of natural elements like the handmade bird's nest with eggshell candles and a wood slab for the drinking glasses accented with my all-time favorite air plant. I mixed gold candlesticks and flowers in slightly darker tones with pastel napkins and sherbet drinks--I love the contrast of colors.

Thank you Kim and all the vendors involved for sharing this spring bridal shower brunch with us today!

Have a happy weekend, friends! Go enjoy some brunch with your besties.
