Yesterday we posted about the Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos, aka Day of the Dead. The holiday has become increasingly popular in the States, even inspiring wedding themes and photo shoots. Take, for example, this beautiful Mexican wedding photo shoot by Erin Kate of Erin Kate Photography.

Erin and her hubby regularly travel south of the border in search of great surf along Mexico's beaches. While traveling to the country, she became enamored with Dia de los Muertos and its skull and sacred heart motifs. Inspired by the holiday, she dreamed up this little photo shoot. I love the simple details--a delicate nod to Day of the Dead style--and I'm sure you will, too!
