Fields of Gold: Wheat-Themed Wedding Decor

We like colorful leaves, cozy plaids, and plump pumpkins as much as the next autumn-loving gal, but when it comes to fall nuptials our favorite seasonal decor element is wheat. Simple and rustic, wheat details are perfect for harvest-themed weddings and an affordable alternative to flowers and foliage. Roman brides traditionally walked down the aisle clasping wheat sheafs, and the grain was used to shower newlyweds before rice became a popular alternative. The golden grain symbolizes prosperity and fertility, and represents bounty and wealth.
