Get Your Craft On: Craft Lake City Returns to Downtown SLC This Saturday
WHAT: Salt Lake City's fourth annual Craft Lake City festival--aka Utah's DIY festival--returns to downtown this weekend. This year, 180-plus local vendors set up shop at the festival, selling handmade goods--from bath products and handbags to ceramics and children's clothing--and demonstrating their crafty skills. If you're a DIYer, Etsy shopaholic, or lover of all things local, you won't want to miss this summer event.
And if you're a bride- or groom-to-be, be sure to check out the jewelry, paper goods, housewares, and sewn accessories vendors. Find custom-designed bridal shower invites by Lily Jane Stationery, handcrafted wedding bands from Street Bauble, cool pillows for your love nest from Sleepy Planet Press, or a hand-sewn banner by Tony Roth to hang at your reception. And that's just the tip of the DIY iceberg, folks.
WHERE: The Gallivan Center (239 S Main Street). Parking is available at the Walker Center for $3.
WHEN: Saturday, August 11 from noon to 10 p.m. Admission is free.
