Love Sweet Love: Les Madeleines Engagement Shoot by Jessica Kettle Photography

By Tessa Woolf March 16, 2012

One of my favorite places for coffee and pastries is Les Madeleines in downtown Salt Lake City. If you've had the pleasure of tasting owner Romina Rasmussen's beloved Kouing Aman then you know why I adore this place so much--and why foodies travel across the country to eat said pastry. (For those of you who haven't yet discovered the deliciousness of the Kouing Aman, it's a flaky buttery pastry that will rock your world.)

When I spotted Tanya and Eric's sweet engagement shoot at Les Madeleines by Jessica Kettle Photography, I knew they were a couple after my own heart. Tanya and Eric were planning to serve a lot of desserts at their wedding, so they wanted to center their engagement shoot around desserts, as well. They are big fans of Les Madeleines' Meyer Lemon Meringue Tarts, the rich Reine de Saba cake, and the French macarons (or "buttons" as Romina calls them).

Tanya and Eric were married on July 27 (nearly seven years after first meeting) at the Seattle LDS Temple, and held a ring ceremony in a sunken garden at Robinswood House in Bellevue, Washington. Congratulations you two!

Thank you Jessica Kettle, Tanya, and Eric for sharing this sweet engagement shoot with us today! Have a great weekend friends! (And don't forget: run, don't walk, to Les Madeleines and pick up a Kouing Aman--or four.)
