Love Spell: Scrabble-Themed Engagement Shoot by Amy Lashelle Photography

By Tessa Woolf February 10, 2012

On this Friday before Valentine's Day, we're sharing a lovey-dovey, Scrabble-themed engagement shoot from Amy Lashelle Photography. She photographed local love birds Megan Flint and Kendal Williams at The Rose Establishment, a charming cafe serving coffee and tea in downtown Salt Lake City's warehouse district.

Lashelle shares some details about the couple:

Megan and Kendal met through a mutual friend. Kendal's roommate and Megan were friends, so she would always spend time at their place "just because." And Kendal kept his eye on her until the time was right to make his move. He made his move...and, well, here we are. They love to spend time together just hanging out, and often they'll pull out the game of Scrabble. Megan is sure she always wins, but Kendal, in his quiet way, makes certain that he is the champion. It's still out for debate, and likely will be fought over for many games to come.

I love when couples incorporate a favorite game or hobby in their engagement shoots, and Megan and Kendal's affinity for Scrabble served as the perfect prop for their photos. The duo will be wed on April 7 at the Salt Lake LDS Temple, followed by a reception at Canterbury Place in Bountiful. Congratulations!

Thank you Amy, Megan, and Kendal for sharing this engagement shoot with us today!

Happy weekend!
