Get the Look: 8 Red Carpet Inspired Bridal Styles from the Oscars

By Tessa Woolf February 27, 2012

Happy Monday, dear readers! Did you watch the Oscars last night? I tuned in to catch the red carpet action. I'm always on the lookout for bridal fashion inspiration, so I was thrilled to see so many starlettes wear gowns in shades of white, ivory, and cream. Of course, white dresses weren't the only stunning styles to step into the spotlight last night: from glittering gold to shimmering "stripes," we've rounded up eight star styles to help inspire your wedding day look.  Which gown is your favorite?

Gold Star: If you liked Stacy Keibler's Marchesa gown, you'll love this golden gown by Romona Keveza from the designer's Fall 2012 bridal collection.

Petal Pusher: If you liked the fluttering hemline of Cameron Diaz's Gucci gown, you'll love this "Dahlia" gown with a similar hemline by Matthew Christopher.

One-der Woman: If you liked Milla Jovovich's sparkling white gown by Elie Saab Couture, you'll love this high-shine, one-shoulder style by Amsale.

Top It Off: If you liked Gwyneth Paltrow's sleek gown and dramatic cape by Tom Ford, you'll love this shorter caped silhouette by Anne Bowen.

Stripe It Rich: If you liked Jennifer Lopez's Zuhair Murad dress, you'l love this fitted dress by Anne Barge featuring horizontal bands of pearl silk taffeta.

Off Sides: If you liked Penelope Cruz's Giorgio Armani gown, you'll love this similar off-the-shoulder style by Watters.

Peek-a-Boo: If you liked Bingbing Li's Georges Chakra gown, featuring a sheer panel running down the side of the leg, you'll love this Matthew Christopher gown featuring a sheer panel at the waist.

Neck and Neck: If you liked Penelope Ann Miller's Badgley Mischka gown, you'll love this Anne Bowen dress with a similar halter-style neckline and beading at the bodice.

What do you think of these red carpet styles? Would you wear one of these celeb-inspired gowns for your walk down the aisle? Who gets your vote for Best Dressed at last night's Oscars?
