Something Blue: "Breakfast at Tiffany's"-Themed Bridal Shower + Wedding Inspiration

By Tessa Woolf November 22, 2011

I have a confession: I watch "Gossip Girl" and I adore it. Yes, the plot lines often leave something to be desired, but the fashion is the reason I tune into the CW on Monday nights. In last night's episode, it wasn't a dress, handbag, or pair of pumps that had me ooohing and ahhhing, though--it was Blair Waldorf's "Breakfast at Tiffany's"-themed bridal shower.

Did any of you see the episode? For those of you who don't watch GG, let me fill you in: At the glamorous party for the bride-to-be, strands of pearls dangled from the ceiling, cocktails were served by waiters in tuxes, a gigantic cake in the shape of a Tiffany's box took center stage, and genuine Tiffany's boxes were handed out as favors--one containing a diamond ring.

Now, in real life, you're not likely to give diamond rings as parting gifts. But, you CAN be inspired by the concept and decor of Blair's bridal shower. Turns out, many brides have had "Breakfast at Tiffany's"-themed showers and some have even based their entire weddings on the classic Audrey Hepburn flick.

Check out some of these fun Tiffany-inspired ideas we found:
