Dress of the Week: 'Yasmine' Bridal Gown by Rivini

By Tessa Woolf August 3, 2011

Fact: There are an endless number of beautiful, drool-worthy bridal gowns and bridesmaids dresses. Considering, I've decided to initiate a new weekly feature on the Salt Lake/Park City Bride & Groom Blog: "Dress of the Week."

Every week, I'll be highlighting a gorgeous,  must-see bridal gown or bridesmaid dress (all from designers who are available locally!). This curated selection of frocks is another way we can aid you in your quest for "The Dress." (And we're happy to help, btw!)

So, let's get started! We're kicking our first Dress of the Week feature off with an amazing gown by Rivini--say hello to 'Yasmine'...

I first spotted Yasmine in Rivini's Fall 2011 ad campaign (pictured above). Isn't she divine? The strapless gown has a mermaid/trumpet silhouette and features a draped tulle bodice over a tufted chiffon skirt trimmed in crystals and pearls.

I think the skirt's shape and beading give the gown a roaring 1920's feel. And I love the chunky, collar-style necklace paired with the gown on the Rivini runway during NYC Bridal Market (see below)--a statement piece like this is the perfect way to decorate a bare neckline.

What do you think of Yasmine? Would you wear her on your wedding day? What about a chunky, collar-style necklace--love it or hate it?
