Bows, Pearls, and Peonies: Chic Bridals (and a Custom Little White Dress) by Christine Olson Photography

By Tessa Woolf July 15, 2011

Hellooo and happy Friday! Big plans for the weekend?  Hopefully they include checking out the Summer Bridal Extravaganza at La Caille on Saturday. If you go to the show, don't forget to stop by our magazine lounge and say hi!

To start the weekend off right, I have a stylish bridal/groomal shoot by Christine Olson of Christine Olson Photography (Fun fact: Olson honed her photography skills while working with Elizabeth Messina in Santa Barbara--talk about learning from the best!).

Olson and couple Beth + Landon headed to downtown Salt Lake City's Rio Grande area and the Utah State Capitol for their bride and groom portraits. I about died when I spied Beth's custom-made LWD (little white dress): elbow-length sleeves, a pencil skirt, and a big perky bow tied in the back. She paired the frock--designed by Penelope of Penelope's in SLC--with pearls, natch, white Badgley Mischka pumps decorated with bows, and a perfect white peony bouquet by May Flowers. Beth loves bows, in case you hadn't gathered that yet... Landon played the part of the handsom groom, donning a classic black suit/white shirt/black tie combo.

Maybe it's the LWD's chic silhouette, the pearls, the classic black suit, the Capitol, or the black + white photos, but these images make me think of JFK and Jackie O (a blonde Jackie, but still)--wouldn't you agree?

Congratulations Beth and Landon!

Thank you Christine Olson for sharing these lovely bridals!
