Shopping for gifts during the holidays can be a total drag, especially if you're looking for something special and unique. Instead of opting for an outing to your local mall to pick up the latest "Made in China" products, we recommend checking out these local markets, bazaars, and pop-up boutiques.
Art Elevated: Holiday Art Market
Swaner EcoCenter and Preserve teams up with the Park City Summit County Arts Council for the Art Elevated: Holiday Market from November 3rd through 5th at the Park City Newpark Center (1456 Newpark Blvd). Featuring approximately 20 different artists, working with a variety of mediums, including painting, photography, ceramics, jewelry, fabrics, and more, this market is a great place to pick up handcrafted items and meet the artists. Entertainment and demonstrations are also planned for the weekend, including a wine tasting put on by the Fox School of Wine ($17; tickets here or at the door) and a musical performance by Teresa Eggersten Cooke on Friday and a chocolate tasting with Tandem Chocolates and Flash Mob Orchestra on Saturday.

Jewelry, scarves, handbags, belts, and other accessories for both men and women are available at the Bling Fling Boutique. Proceeds help the Peace House fight domestic violence.

Bling Fling Boutique
On November 10 and 11, the Park City Peace House hosts their Fourth Annual Bling Fling Boutique at the Park City Community Church. For lovers of accessories, including handbags, scarves, handcrafted belts, hats, and jewelry, this is the place to go. Strictly speaking, the Bling Fling Boutique isn't exclusively about local makers, but it is for a fantastic local cause (fighting domestic violence) and it's great opportunity to steal a deal on designer goods. Read: it's not uncommon for Prada or fur goods to show up at the boutique.
Park Silly Holiday Bazaar
When you think Park Silly, you probably think of the eclectic market during summer, but did you know you can get a small dose of Park Silly during the winter as well? That's right, the Park Silly Holiday Bazaar, open this year from December 1st through December 3rd, is a family-friendly, festive event designed to meet all your holiday shopping needs. Housed inside the Park City Marriott (1895 Sidewinder Dr), the market features 90 vendors, a restaurant and bar, and free photos with Santa.
