Actress Katherine Heigl lives much of her life in the Hollywood spotlight—best known for her roles in hit movies such as Knocked Up and 27 Dresses and TV dramas including Grey’s Anatomy and Firefly Lane. But when she’s not on set, she calls a small town in Utah home, residing in Summit County with her husband, musician Josh Kelley, and their three children. The couple wed in Park City in 2007 and moved to the area a few years later.
While she made her mark acting, Heigl’s artistic talents lie beyond the screen. On May 31, her first solo painting exhibition opened at Gallery Mar, where she’s been a longtime collector. All sales from the Mother Nature exhibit benefit the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation. Founded in 2008 by Heigl and her mother, Nancy, in memory of Heigl’s brother, Jason, the foundation serves to end animal cruelty and abuse.
