The Luxe List Alter Ego: Freebie Fun

Park City Gallery Association hosts a stroll on the last Friday of each month.
Known for the luxe lifestyle and world-famous resorts that bring powder and pampering, our town and “free” aren’t usually mentioned in the same sentence. So, to help ease your wallet, we’ve compiled a short list of free local activities.
Watch Films with a Cause
Hosted by Park City Film and various nonprofits, the ongoing Reel Community Series (parkcityfilm.org) features diverse topics—from environmental documentaries to artsy dramas—and finishes with panel discussions after each showing. Attend free screenings at Park City Library’s Jim Santy Auditorium on various Thursdays throughout the season.
Tour the Mountain
Break up your ski day and get the lay of the land by joining a mountain host-guided tour, exploring the historic mines at Park City Mountain (1345 Lowell Ave, parkcitymountain.com), or learning about the history and terrain at Deer Valley Resort (2250 Deer Valley Dr, deervalley.com). (Of note: day pass needed.)
See How They Make Fire Water (21+ Crowd)
After your last run (or perhaps midday), park the skis and boards and take a tour of High West (703 Park Ave, highwest.com), the first ski-in distillery and saloon in the world. Learn about the distilling process, see some stills, and add an optional whiskey flight for a nominal cost.
Become an Art Aficionado
On the last Friday of every month, the Park City Gallery Association (parkcitygalleryassociation.com) presents a self-guided gallery stroll along Main Street (plus a few stops off-Main). With refreshments, music, and a gallery guide, you’ll feel like an art aficionado in no time.
Of Note: Be sure to check out our Things To Do calendar for details on a slew of free (as well as not-so-free) events.
