The National Ability Center recently kicked off a multi-year expansion plan by breaking ground on an 11,715 square foot expansion to the current Equestrian Center and new Recreation Center during their Barn Raising event. Both projects are expected to reach completion by mid-summer 2019. They are the first in a series of facility upgrades slated to take place over the next couple of years. Future renovations and developments also include the Programs and Community Building, a Mountain Center, a campground, cycling routes, and an ancillary Lodge. 

The projects are made possible by the NAC's ongoing "I Can" capital campaign and will significantly expand the organization's efforts in building the adaptive community and providing life-changing experiences in Park City. “We are forever grateful to have the support of our board members, donors, community, participants, staff, volunteers and the Moran Family Foundation,” said Kevin Stickelman, Interim CEO of the National Ability Center. “Without them, none of this is possible. The groundbreaking goes far beyond the nuts and bolts of the construction, it has a deeper, more significant meaning. Critical improvements to our facilities allow us to further spread our mission of empowering as many people as possible to get outside, to recreate and to seek the tools, equipment, instruction and resources they need to experience life to its fullest.”
