it’s the spookiest season of the year, and whether you head to the movies, take a ghost tour,  or trick-or-treat with the kiddos, we have a local event for you. Here are some of the best Halloween and Halloween-adjacent happenings around town this year.

Movie Night

Thursday, October 30, 7 p.m.

Get in the mystical spirit with Park City Film’s free screening of Academy Award–winning Pan’s Labyrinth (2006) at the Jim Santy Auditorium.

"Transylvania Tea Party" Blood Drive

Friday, October 31, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Deer Valley Resort again partners with ARUP Blood Services for its annual Halloween blood drive, encouraging folks to donate to those suffering from emergencies, illnesses, and blood disorders. Walk-ins welcome at Silver Baron Lodge, but you may also book an appointment online. Costumes are encouraged; light refreshments provided.

Halloween on Main Street

Friday, October 31, 3-6 p.m.

Trick or treat! Bring the family (four-legged ones too) for safe, fun, candy gathering along Historic Main Street, courtesy of local merchants. Main Street is closed to vehicular traffic beginning at 2 p.m. on Halloween; walking, biking, or taking free City Transit is recommended.  

National Ability Center’s Halloween Party

Saturday, November 1, 3:30 p.m.

This year’s Halloween party transforms the NAC's campus into Mario World with games, costumes, and activities straight out of the Mushroom Kingdom. The inclusive celebration is open to everyone. Sign up for free tickets.

Park City Ghost Tours

Nightly at 8 p.m.

Get in the Halloween spirit on an Old Town tour that uncovers the ghosts of the old mining town. From the Man in the Yellow Slicker to the Woman in the Window, you’ll hear the local lore and walk past haunted homes and buildings where ghosts linger. Reservations required. Tickets: $30 for adults, $15 for kids (ages 16 and under). 

Sundance Halloween Lift Rides

Select dates, October 16-31 

Halloween Lift Rides at Sundance Resort are perfect for a date night or family outing. Lasting 30 to 45 minutes, the ride on Outlaw Express Lift takes you above spooky scenes under moonlight. Don’t miss special Halloween pastries, hot chocolate, food, and concessions in The Lookout. Food is also available from the line. Lift rides run from 7 to 10 p.m. weekdays, and from 7 to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Tickets available online: $37.50 for adults, $32.50 for children (ages 6-12) and seniors. Add a Halloween Zip Tour for $79 per person.

Dia de los Muertos

Saturday, November 1, 2-5 p.m.

Join the Arts Council of Park City & Summit County for this free event. Featuring food, face painting, art activities, and a community Ofrenda to honor the annual Day of the Dead tradition (Día de los Muertos)—celebrated in México and in many parts of Latin America that pays tribute to loved ones who have passed.
