There may not be too much snow yet, but Park City Mountain successfully opened the PC base area on Nov. 23 and the Canyons Village area the following day. Even with only PayDay and First Time lifts open, there were many excited skiers and riders out on the run, getting their legs back into action. Here's a video of the opening day celebrations.

For the first thirty days the resort is open, there will be a number of promotions and special events happening, including two new free concerts in December. Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe plays Saturday, Dec. 2 at the Park City Mountain Village and Andy Frasco and The U.N. will appear on the Canyons Village Stage on Saturday, Dec. 9. With the snowmakers hard at work, the weather dipping lower this week, and snow in the forecast, we're sure the slopes will soon be covered with white gold! Get out there and enjoy the early bird specials and less crowded hill!
