NAC Honors Veterans at Annual Saluting Our Heroes Luncheon
The National Ability Center (NAC) hosted their annual "Saluting Our Heroes" Luncheon this past week to honor U.S. active duty and veterans service members along with their families. Hosted at The Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, the event highlights many of the NAC's resources and programs dedicated to providing the care and support many service members and veterans need after being impacted physically and/or cognitively while protecting the country.
Specific military programs at the NAC include individual sport and family recreation, military wellness and health retreats, family retreats, and more. Thanks to generous donations and scholarship funds, many of these activities are available at little or no cost. The programs are life changing for many participants, breaking down barriers and allowing people to heal and do things they would never have thought possible.
The NAC hosts a number of military specific single day events throughout the year, offering a variety of activities including cycling, waterboarding, horseback riding, rock climbing, skiing, snowboarding, and beyond. On December 22, service members and their families are invited to come out for Military Family Ski Day at Park City Mountain.
