The National Ability Center (NAC) hosted its tenth annual Summit Challenge on Saturday, August 26. A fully-supported road ride through the some of the most beautiful scenic landscapes in Summit and Wasatch County, the challenge offered riders the chance to take on four different courses of varying lengths (16, 50, 80, 100-miles). Approximately 850 riders participated in the event and 1 out of 5 riders had a disability and all proceeds from the event go to support the year round work of the NAC. 

With the help of over 1,500 volunteers, the NAC is able to provide programming for more than 5,500 individuals with disabilities and their families. Ever on a quest to provide more and better service, the NAC has expanded their programming by teaming up with Splore to provide whitewater rafting trips in Moab, winter yurt trips, and more in addition to their work in Park City. Working closely with Epic Promise, the NAC recently secured a historic 50-year land lease with its long-time partner Park City Mountain. The landmark agreement gives the NAC the ability to offer year-round programming and double their current number of experiences each year.
