Despite being a ski town in a landlocked state, Park City has no shortage of fresh and inventive sushi restaurants. Here are five local favorites where you can get your sushi fix.
Yama Sushi
9100 Marsac Ave
Ski resort sushi has leveled up in recent years, including at Montage Deer Valley, where Yama Sushi provides guests with an intimate, relaxed setting next to the Vista Lounge & Terrace. Yama serves excellent sushi along with sake flight pairings and beers from around the globe. You can’t go wrong with the king crab, Hokkaido scallops, cured mackerel, or butterfish.

Sushi Blue
1571 W Redstone Center Dr
As you would expect from restaurateur Bill White, his Sushi Blue in Kimball Junction is an eye-popping affair with a contemporary sushi bar, tatami tables, and an eclectic menu. The chirashi bowl with eight pieces of sashimi is a solid bet, and shellfish lovers will go gaga for the Krusty Krab roll with tempura fried crab.
Shoyu Sushi House & Japanese Kitchen
1612 W Ute Blvd
Not far from Sushi Blue is Shoyu Sushi House & Japanese Kitchen, where chef Hokky Chandiyana is passionate about traditional sushi. Start out light with escolar nigiri and uni sashimi, then embark on something like the Jazz Roll with tempura shrimp, avocado, albacore tuna, mayo, eel sauce, and tobiko.
KITA
2417 W High Mountain Rd
At KITA in Pendry Park City, you’ll want to indulge in the luscious maguro bigeye tuna and the Hotate bata-yaki scallops. Rockin’ rolls include the Hot Night, a fiery roll with shrimp tempura, cucumber, spicy tuna, and jalapeño.
Yuki Yama Sushi
586 Main St
On Main Street, Yuki Yama Sushi offers unique sushi options such as chu-toro nigiri with fatty bluefin tuna and white soy sauce, sawara sashimi made with king mackerel, and superb giant clam with kimchi and dashi dipping sauce.
