Word About Town

What to Wear, Drink, and Do in Park City This Winter

Put these three things on your radar.

1. WEAR
Luxe skiwear brand Jet Set has landed at Cole Sport. Hit the slopes in style with functional pieces from the fashion-forward collection. Top pick: Cole Sport’s Kathy Burke loves the Jet Set metallic gold belted ski jacket and vest paired with the glam slim-fit ski pants emblazoned with gold stars.

2. DO
The hottest ticket in town this winter that’s not Sundance-related? Check out the Intermountain Health Freestyle International at Deer Valley February 1–3, featuring elite skiers competing in aerials, moguls, and dual moguls. This event is a staple on the freestyle schedule and brings in a big crowd of fans year after year. 2022 Olympic silver medalist Jaelin Kauf is expected to compete, as are 2022 Olympic champions Chris Lillis and Justin Schoenefeld.

3. DRINK
There’s a new bar in town: Belly up to the latest concept from Casey and (chef) Seth Adams and their team at Riverhorse on Main and Saltbox Eatery and Catering. Opening this winter in the space next door to Riverhorse at 540 Main Street, the swanky new watering hole (Palomino) will offer an upscale take on après, happy hour, and nightlife. Sip on unique craft cocktails, a variety of Champagnes, top-shelf tequilas, and more, plus elevated bar bites. “We love hospitality and service, but we want it to be fun and easy—not stuffy,” says Casey Adams. The space will include a bar with 18 seats, banquet tables, a lounge area, and an intimate VIP space that can be rented for small private events. Pop in for a drink before or after dinner at Riverhorse, or plan a night out with friends. Call 435-729-0560 for more details or reservations.
