Pine Code Ridge

Dining at a Bill White Restaurant Group eatery elicits high expectations. His restaurants are iconic in their own delicious fashion, whether it’s his flagship dining destinations Grappa, Chimayo, and Windy Ridge Café & Bakery, or newer spots on his roster like Ghidotti’s, Sushi Blue, and Billy Blanco’s. Add to that already lengthy list White’s newest venture: Pine Cone Ridge (577 Main St; 435-615-0300), named for the trail located behind The Canyons side of Park City Resort, a place where White says he finds solace.

This second-story restaurant is classy, comfortable, and inviting. A beautiful bar greets guests upon entering; enjoy classic and craft cocktails with tempting bar bites like Korean sticky wings, duck queso, and beef tenderloin tartine. The sprawling main dining room features Brazilian hardwood flooring, polished reclaimed wood dining tables, and tufted booths and chairs. The walls are decorated with Americana artwork from local galleries and White’s personal collection.

Dine on elevated comfort food from longtime Bill White chef Gudrun Thorne-Thomsen, like her chicken a la queen, a hearty mélange of roasted organic chicken in a savory chicken velouté with homemade buttermilk biscuit dumplings. Broiled oysters make a terrific starter, and don’t miss the beignets with rich Parisian-style hot chocolate for dipping for dessert.
