The Bake Shop Rises in Park City

Chop Shop owners John and Paige Courtney have joined forces with three-time Olympic skier Devin Logan to open The Bake Shop, located just across the street from the Chop Shop in Redstone (1154 Center Dr).
In addition to toothsome pastries and baked goods made fresh daily like brioche and sourdough bread, The Bake Shop offers custom cakes, proof-and-bake items including croissants, English muffins, and biscuits, and grab-and-go breakfast and lunch bites—try Miss Katie’s Egg Casserole, a savory egg pudding of sausage, bread, and peppers. Hot and cold beverage offerings range from a pour-over coffee service and hot tea to nitro matcha, Vietnamese coffee, and kombucha on tap.
For the Courtneys, The Bake Shop offers an opportunity to provide something new in town, like kouign-amann. As for Logan, she’s thankful for an opportunity to pursue her love for baking as a second career off the slopes. “Like many others, I started baking during the pandemic, and that passion has continued to grow,” she says.
And while she might not be competing for medals anymore, if first tastes are any indication, we suspect Logan’s baking skills combined with the Courtneys’ kitchen talents will be no less award-winning.
