Local beverages worth traveling for.

From a winery opening in the former polygamist settlement of Hildale to a new cidery adjacent to Capitol Reef National Park, laws have recently loosened on liquor production in the Beehive State. Remember, Utah had zero craft breweries before Wasatch Brewing opened in Park City in 1986, and today more than 40 call it home. So instead of drinking your usual brew, take a road trip to these breweries and distilleries beyond Park City to sip something new.

You may not think of southern Utah as a wine destination, but this new family-owned-and-operated winery specializes in excellent natural wines. No sulfites, preservatives, or additional yeasts are added during fermentation, and every bottle is organic. Sample the Sangiovese on a private tour paired with charcuterie and vineyard vistas. watercanyonwinery.com
