When the temperatures climb into the high 40s and 50s, you know it's time for spring skiing in Park City. It's an absolutely magical time to be in town, when everyone seems to be universally energized and happy. And it's little wonder; it's just too nice outside not to don a pair of shades and grab yourself a seat on the deck, letting the good vibes flow. Wondering where to post up? Following are five stellar Park City patios, from casual to high-end, where you can soak up the sunlight from early afternoon until well after dusk.
The Corner Store
Quick, cheap, and super casual with live bands four to six days out of the week, it's harder to come by an après experience in Park City that appeals as universally to locals and visitors as the Corner Store. Skiers and boarders gather after a day full of shredding to kick back, relax, and indulge in $3 PBRs and $3 tequila shots. On a sunny day, there's no missing the lively scene in their outdoor dining area and you'll have a tough time finding a seat after 3 p.m. though that doesn't mean you shouldn't join in the party or hop on the electric bull.
Live music on weekends, mountain views, draft beer, fine wines, cocktails, and appetizers that are on point. These are the staples of the EBS Lounge. Located on the second floor of the Snow Park Lodge, the EBS Lounge is the place to dig into Turkey Chili Nachos or artisanal cured meats and cheeses while sipping on a cocktail. Best of all, you can indulge in a bit of grown-up time and tuck into an award-winning blueberry mojito all while watching your kids take laps on Burns right below.
No Name Saloon
There's just something about the No Name Saloon that brings people in. You could spends days inside this Park City institution just eyeing the eclectic mix of objects decorating this bar (everything from a bison head to a vintage motorcycle, toilets, and beyond). For a bit of fresh air, head upstairs to the deck. Massive heat lamps keep it warm up there even on the colder winter days, making this a happening place for outdoor après year round. In addition to drinks and the famous buffalo No Name Burger, you'll get killer views of the picturesque Main Street--just don't expect a quiet evening.
Red Tail Grill
Steps from the Orange Bubble Express and the Ski Beach, you'll find ample outdoor seating at the Red Tail Grill in Canyons Village. This is a family-friendly dining spot right off the runs where everyone in your group. Enjoy people watching slope side while chowing down on tacos and sipping margaritas. Of course, what really makes this a prime spot during spring is the proximity to the numerous après concerts hosted by Park City Mountain for their annual Spring Grüv celebration and Spring Concert Series.
Mountain Terrace at the St. Regis Deer Valley
For high-rollers and luxury seekers, Deer Valley is the place to be, specifically the Mountain Terrace at the St. Regis. Whether you ride up the funicular from Snow Park Lodge or ski in from the Navigator or Deer Hollow ski runs, you won't be disappointed by the majestic mountain views or the light gourmet fare. There's even a sunset champagne sabering every day. Take in the last rays of the day and when the temperature drops, cuddle up in one of the cushioned chairs with a hot toddy and bask in the warm glow of the fire garden. This is the ideal setting for an al fresco lunch, sipping on drinks, or a romantic dinner away from the more raucous après joints.
