• Named after Uinta National Forest, the Uinta Brewing Co’s (722 Fremont Dr, 801.467.0909) Brewhouse Pub is a go-to hangout for outdoor and beer enthusiasts alike. Uinta is widely known for distinctive brews, like 801 Pilsner and Cutthroat Pale Ale, as well as experimental styles, including a new range of beers fermented with Brettanomyces yeast. Hop Nosh Tangerine is back for round two this summer, plus the new Lime Pilsner and the bold and citrusy West Coast Style IPA. D, F, O, T

• Shades of Pale Brewing’s (2160 SW Temple St, 435.200.3009) industrial-style taproom in downtown SLC, featuring a solid outdoor beer-drinking patio, has quickly earned this Park City–born brewer serious street cred among the valley’s discerning quaffers. The brewery’s Citrus IPA and Belgian Triple sell like hot cakes, but this summer’s sour-style Berlin Weisse, with notes of plum, is sure to become a quick favorite.

Add in ’80s and ’90s arcade games, a rotating guest tap beer, and the Proper Burger Co. next door, and you’ve found your ultimate weekend landing pad.
