It's about more than just ink.

Park City Tattoo Collective

Park City Tattoo Collective is not what you’d expect of a Main Street brick-and-mortar. Its warehouse-style space is covered in vibrant floor-to-ceiling graffiti art, with indigo vinyl floors and cozy lounge chairs that make it feel more like a community hub than just a place to get inked.

Park City Tattoo Collective owner Owner Ryan Stark

Owner Ryan Stark was looking for an endeavor where he could both uplift artists and offer community support. “I was fortunate to retire pretty young, and I wanted something I could sink my teeth into from a communal perspective,” he says, “something I could pour my business creativity into and help it evolve.” When the opportunity came to purchase what was then called One Love Tattoo in Salt Lake, Stark jumped at it. The shop rebranded at the start of 2025, relocating to the Wasatch Back and embracing a more collaborative spirit.

The collective represents a refreshing departure from the toxic tattoo shop archetype. Stark and his team recognize that tattooing is often a deeply personal experience, and they’ve worked to create a space where both clients and artists can feel safe, respected, and heard. Unlike other tattoo shops with cramped, cubicle-like artist booths, PC Tattoo Collective offers an open, airy layout. “The space was designed to pull people in,” says Stark.

With large windows and a flexible communal area, the shop can easily host a variety of events—from yoga classes to breathwork seminars. Stark also wanted the space to prioritize a kid-friendly atmosphere, where folks getting tattooed can busy their kids with crafts or relax in the common area. “My long-term goal is to create a sense of community,” Stark says. “There’s so much value in sharing that energy.”

Stark is also passionate about empowering his artists. “I’m all about the de-commoditization of tattooing,” he explains. “I want to encourage tattooers to realize they have something very special and unique, and to lean into their artistic skill.” PC Tattoo Collective’s three resident artists have very distinct styles, including expertise in cyber sigilism design and micro realism portraits, and proudly plaster their work throughout the shop. Even the shop’s iconic graffiti wall is a collective effort, representing the collaborative energy at the heart of the space. “Ultimately, it’s just about giving these artists the platform and space to share their art with the client,” Stark says. “A stress-free tattooer is the best tattooer.” 738 Main St, 801-784-9943
