Things are looking up: Autumn Aloft, Park City’s beloved hot-air balloon festival, is scheduled to take flight once again this fall. After being grounded last year due to Covid, the annual event makes a welcome return the weekend of September 18–19. More than a dozen colorful hot-air balloons will fill the sky and float across town—a truly mesmerizing sight and, this year in particular, a symbol of joy and optimism.
The Autumn Aloft main ascent launches from the North 40 Fields (2350 Kearns Blvd) at approximately 8 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. An evening balloon candlelight event is also planned for Saturday at 8 p.m. on Main Street between Fourth and Fifth. For more information and event updates, visit autumnaloft.com.
