Park City Area Showcase of Homes

 2 p.m.–8 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Saturday, Sunday, and Labor Day Monday

Oktoberfest

Friday 4–10 p.m., Saturday noon–10 p.m., Sunday noon–6 p.m. @ Canyons Village at Park City Mountain

Transport yourself to a mini-Munich at the Canyons Village for the resort's inaugural Oktoberfest. Enjoy beer in the Bavarian Beer Hall, sample authentic fare in the Bavarian Market, and enjoy Oompah and Polka music while trying your skills at a stein lifting competition or traditional dance.  Kids can explore the Kinder Kids’ zone and much more. Soldier Hollow Classic

Saturday Morning Nature Walk

8:30–10 a.m. @ Swaner EcoCenter

Discover the Swaner Preserve with a guided nature tour, navigating the wetlands while learning about the diverse plant and animal species found in its grasses and waters.  Keep your eyes peeled for an abundance of birds, elk, and perhaps a nesting sandhill crane.  $10 per person, $5 locals, free for Swaner members. swanerecocenter.org

Monday, September 2

 

Park City Rotary Club's "Running of the Balls" has become a local tradition as volunteers dress in Pamplona white and attempt to outrun the balls (in lieu of bulls). Locals purchase the tennis balls as a fundraiser and chance to win prizes. 

Miner’s Day Parade and Celebration

8 a.m.–6 p.m. @ City Park and Historic Main St.

Here, Labor Day is Miner’s Day, a celebration of the past and present—with everything from the Pamplona-style “Running of the Balls” Rotary club fundraiser (numbered, lottery-like tennis balls are let loose down Main Street) to an iconic mucking and drilling competition. Experience a truly unique Park City event with something for everyone—a parade, 5K, activities in the park, music, games, and more. parkcity.org

Utah Olympic Park Summer Attractions

From learning about the Utah Olympic Park’s unique sporting heritage in the free museum to taking a ride-of-a-lifetime on the summer bobsled experience, Utah Olympic Park offers activities for all. The park’s summer experiences include the extreme zip line, zip line tour, alpine slide, drop tower, adventure courses and scenic chairlift rides. Park City Mountain Summer Activities 

Check out a variety of adventures for guests of virtually any age. Starting Sept. 3, many activities (including lift-served biking and hiking) are open Thursday through Sunday. Hold on for the drops and turns of the alpine coaster, discover the mountain’s hiking and biking trails, or watch your family reach new heights in the Adventure Park. Park City Museum
