Revel in equal parts high-octane and mellow mountain entertainment—from the rip-roarin’ demo derby and a Queen tribute to al fresco symphony and film.

All Weekend Long

Wasatch County Fair Demolition Derby

6:45 p.m., Friday and Saturday @ Wasatch County Event Complex, Heber City

Come on out for non-stop, wipeout fun otherwise known as “legalized road rage.” Tickets (starting at $20) available online.

Flying Ace All-Stars Aerial Show

1 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays @ The Utah Olympic Park

Prepare to be amazed by the gravity defying stunts of the Flying Ace All-Stars, a half-hour choreographed spectacle featuring Olympians, National Team members, and rising stars as this coordinated collaboration of athletes take flight on skis and snowboards.

Martin Sexton

Friday–Saturday, 8 p.m.; Sunday, 6 p.m. @ The Egyptian Theatre

The American singer-songwriter presents highlights from his ninth studio release, “Mixtape of the Open Road.”

Martin Sexton delivers his unique blend of folk, blues, rock, and pop to the Egyptian Theatre stage this weekend. 

Indoor Climbing Wall

Saturday and Sunday, 1-3 p.m. @ Swaner EcoCenter

Kids of all ages can find fun at Swaner EcoCenter’s indoor climbing wall—and a host of eco-friendly exhibits to peruse when they need a breather. Harnesses supplied; please wear shoes with covered toes. Free for members; Fee for non-members.

Summit Yoga Series

9 a.m.–10 a.m. @ Montage Deer Valley

DIY Beeswax Wrap Workshop

6–8 p.m. @ Swaner Nature Preserve

Say goodbye to plastic and hello to functional, wrap-able art. Learn how to make beautiful and environmentally friendly reusable beeswax wraps as an alternative to plastic wrap or aluminum foil. Make a set of wraps to use at home and leave with the skills to make more! $20 per person, $10 for Swaner members. Register online, space is limited. 

Last Friday Gallery Stroll

6-9 p.m. @ Park City Main Street

Enjoy light refreshments and check out Park City’s exciting art scene at the Last Friday Gallery Stroll, a free community event presented by members of the Park City Gallery Association.

Meet "Lars" at this month's gallery stroll. The oil on stainless steel piece is a new work by artist Mai Wyn Schantz, featured at TROVE Gallery—one of more than a dozen galleries participating in the event. 

America in Space: A Cinematic Celebration

7:30 p.m. @ Deer Valley’s Snow Park Amphitheater

Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of NASA’s moon landing with Utah Symphony as they perform music from beloved Hollywood films about astronauts as well as new music from a NASA Exhibit. NASA documentary footage accompanies the sonic tribute. Picnics, blankets, and chairs (on west side of lawn, no higher than 9” from the ground) are welcome. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.

Queen Nation

7 p.m. @ DeJoria Center, Kamas

This tribute band will “rock you” for 90 minutes of vintage, Freddie Mercury-esque tunes. Expect everything from “Bohemian Rhapsody” to “We Are The Champions” in this greatest-hits show.

“RBG” Outdoor Film Screening

Dusk @ City Park

Bring your picnics and blankets for the riveting story of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, her consuming love affairs with both The Constitution and her beloved husband Marty, and of how her early legal battles helped change the world for women—ultimately leading her to become an icon of justice in the highest court in the land. Free.

Saturday, July 27

Saturday Morning Nature Walk

8:30–10 a.m. @ Swaner EcoCenter

Discover the Swaner Preserve with a guided nature tour, navigating the wetlands while learning about the diverse plant and animal species found in its grasses and waters.  Keep your eyes peeled for an abundance of birds, elk, and perhaps a nesting sandhill crane. Free for Swaner members; fee for non-members.

Farm Stand Dinner

6 p.m. @ Copper Moose Farm Stand, Old Ranch Road

Enjoy an intimate, farm-to-table experience with a four-course dinner prepared by Chef Jordan Harvey. Reservations required online. $200 per person.

Rodrigo y Gabriela: Mettavolution Tour

7:30 p.m. @ Deer Valley’s Snow Park Amphitheater

Mexican acoustic rock guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela share the next chapter of their remarkable story with the release of the most ambitious music of their twenty-year career together. Picnics, blankets, and chairs (on west side of lawn, no higher than 9” from the ground) welcome. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.

Sunday, July 28

Park Silly Sunday Market

10 a.m.–5 p.m. @ Historic Main Street

Bike, scooter, or ride the bus up to Main St. for an eco-friendly, open-air market and street festival. Enjoy eclectic local and regional arts and crafts, music and performance art, antiques, imports and one-of-a-kind finds, delicious gourmet foods, and farmers market fruits and vegetables. 

Beethoven Festival

4:30 p.m. @Temple Har Shalom, 3700 Brookside Court

Acclaimed Cellist Julie Bevan, Clarinetist Russell Harlow, Violist Leslie Harlow and Violinists Donna Fairbanks and Gabriel Gordon perform works by Tchiakovsky, Schumann, Taneyev, Glazunov, Bermann, and Handel. Arrive at 4:30 p.m. to enjoy a delectable buffet of gourmet cheeses, fruit and wine before the concert and during intermission. Tickets are $45 per person. Tickets are $45 per person.

Utah Olympic Park Summer Attractions

From learning about the Utah Olympic Park’s unique sporting heritage in the free museum to taking a ride-of-a-lifetime on the summer bobsled experience, Utah Olympic Park offers activities for all. The park’s summer experiences include the extreme zip line, zip line tour, alpine slide, drop tower, adventure courses and scenic chairlift rides. Hours 10 a.m.–6 p.m. daily. The Flying Ace All-Star Freestyle shows start June 22.

Park City Mountain Summer Activities 

Check out a variety of adventures for guests of virtually any age. Hold on for the drops and turns of the alpine coaster, discover the mountain’s hiking and biking trails, or watch your family reach new heights in the Adventure Park. Golf is in full swing at the Canyons, too.

Deer Valley Resort

Scenic chair lift rides and lift-serviced hiking and mountain biking, afternoon e-bike tours, live music and delectable dining. 

Park City Museum 

Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m.–7 p.m.; Sunday, noon–6 @ Park City Museum

Explore Park City’s rich mining history through interactive and educational exhibits that take you into a mine shaft and old-time jail. Children can complete a “Park City History Detectives” activity, digging deeper into the past.
