The impending end of the winter season has us daydreaming of sunshine, hot afternoons in the hammock, and groovy vibes at summer concerts. If you're in the same boat, then you'll be happy to hear that announcements for the upcoming summer concert season have began to drop, starting with the line-up for the Bonanza Campout (June 22-24) at Heber City's River's Edge Campground. That's right, if you and your crew are looking to spend a weekend chilling, camping, and dancing, it's officially time to start planning.
Bonanza Campout is Utah's largest and most diverse multi-day music, art, and camping festival. Located just 16 miles southeast of Park City, the festival offers guests the chance to experience some of the best of the natural mountain surroundings while soaking in the sun and listening to stellar music. Once again, the festival is serving up an eclectic mix of performers for all musical tastes, including headliners pop singer-songwriter Halsey, hip-hop heavyweight Wiz Kahlifa, and Grammy-nominated electronic DJ/producer ZHU. Other big names set to take the stage include Phantogram, RÜFÜS DU SOL, Local Natives, BØRNS, Oh Wonder, Blackbear, Moon Taxi, Snakehips. And unlike most music festivals, where you have to pick and choose which acts you want to see, the boutique environment of Bonanza Campout allows you to catch every single show (see full line-up below).
"We're excited to be returning to River's Edge Campground for Bonanza Campout's third year. We've seen a lot of growth from years one to two and are confident year three is going to be our biggest yet!" says Vaughn Carrick, from Live Nite Events, the organizer behind the festival. "We've worked with the site to increase the size of our camping area so more attendees can stay onsite throughout the weekend and soak in the full festival experience. We're also working on expanding on our interactive fan experiences this year and are really proud of our music lineup. There's really nothing else like Bonanza Campout in Utah. If you're a fan of music and the outdoors, this is definitely an event you should mark your calendars for."
But there's more to Bonanza Campout than just music, the festival will also feature a number of art installations (check out last year's artists here), local breweries, food trucks (including vegan and vegetarian options), a vendor village, and interactive fan experiences. They'll also be hosting a nightly Pond Yacht After Party where surprise DJs will keep the party going into the wee hours.
Undoubtedly, one of the best ways to experience Bonanza Campout is pitching a tent and staying for the entire weekend. While camping options are still available, onsite cabins have already sold out with limited RV sites remaining.
