Happy President's Weekend everyone! We know you'll probably be spending a majority of your time playing in the new snow (as you should), but when you need a break from sliding, here are a few other activities you can use for filler during the long holiday weekend.

Contemplate the innovative installations of Nicole Pietrantoni: Alas, Alack Exhibit at the Kimball Art Center

What do you get when you mix digital and traditional printmaking techniques, a curiosity about the natural world's complex relationships, and accordion books? You can find out at the Kimball Art Center this weekend where contemporary printmaker Nicole Pietrantoni has several installations currently on display. This unique exhibit will change your perspective and inspire a closer look at the mesmerizing panoramic landscapes she's put together for the Alas, Alack exhibit. 

Get Inspired at the Alf Engen Ski Museum

Every day during Utah Olympic Park hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., daily. 

Are you crushing hard on the Olympics? Then cruise over to the Utah Olympic Park and wander through the Alf Engen Ski Museum. From February 3-19, the museum is making a special effort to bring the Olympic Spirit to this corner of the globe by letting you relive the excitement of the 2002 Winter Games and follow the action of PyeongChang through interactive exhibits, mountain sports simulators, and daily updates from South Korea. Uncover the mysteries of a figure skating scandal with the Park City Film Series 

Friday & Saturday, Feb. 16 & 17 @ 8 p.m.; Sunday, Feb. 18 @ 6 p.m.

Speaking of Olympics, relive the infamous rivalry between figure skaters Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan that dominated the news cycle leading up to the 1994 Games in the film I, Tonya. Nominated for three Academy Awards, including Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress for the leading ladies Margot Robbie and Allison Janney, I, Tonya uses Scorsese-ism to show the fire and vulnerability of Harding while remaining firmly tongue-in-cheek. 

Dance it out with Changing Lanes Experience at Park City Mountain

Saturday, February 17, 3 to 5:30 p.m.

End your day on the mountain with a live musical performance at Park City Mountain's President's Weekend Concert. Changing Lanes Experience will be getting groovy in Canyons Village. Slide on in from your last run and cut loose with the band's high energy mix of classic dance songs and chart topping hits.

Mining history, the Park City way

Park City Mountain's on mountain historical tour isn't the only way to relive the heyday of Park City's mining past. Join the Fox School of Wine for their three-hour Mines & Wines Tour to some of Park City's landmarks, including the Daly West Mine, Ontario Mine, Miner's Hospital, Spiro Tunnels, and more, all while sipping delicious wines chosen for each location. Laugh out loud with Bob Garfield's show Ruggedly Jewish

This weekend at the Eccles Center, catch Bob Garfield's brand-new, one-man show "Ruggedly Jewish." Known for co-hosting NPR's Peabody Award-Winning program, "On the Media," and authoring five books, including Waking Up Screaming from the American Dream, Garfield's 90 minute narrative is an exploration of identity that packs a punch, shifting from harrowing life-and- death moments to oddball folks galore.
