You could travel to the Museum of Modern Art to see pieces like Jane Hammond’s Spells and Incantations or Jeff Koons’s Michael Jackson and Bubbles, but there’s no need to. Picturing the Iconic: Andy Warhol to Kara Walker is a not-to-be-missed exhibition of some of modern art’s most significant contributors on display at the Kimball Art Center’s new location (1401 Kearns Blvd, 435.649.8882, kimballartcenter.org) through January 3. And rather than leasing out its space during the Sundance Film Festival, the Kimball will instead host Illuminations of Africa, a wildlife photo collection by National Geographic explorer Beverly Joubert, from January 21 through March 6.
