The Silver Star Café’s LaBounty Bourbon Ice Bomb cocktail.

Ripe fruit, fresh herbs, spices, and, of course, crushed ice are just a few of the ingredients local mixologists are using to lure you off the trails, golf course, or Main Street and onto a barstool. Say hello to summer’s most creative cocktails.

LaBounty Bourbon Ice Bomb

This über-creative concoction won last summer’s Park City Summer Cocktail Contest for obvious reasons. Ingredients are injected into a hollowed-out sphere of ice that is crushed tableside in a glass via a small hammer to harmonize. Silver Star Café, 1825 Three Kings Dr, 435.655.3456.

Summer Slinger

“Strawberry and peppercorn are natural flavor pairings that add an element of sweet and savory with the basil,” notes mixologist Chris Panarelli of his unusual but invigorating Beehive barrel-aged gin and vodka–based concoction. O.P. Rockwell, 268 Main St, 435.615.7000, oprockwell.com.

Asian Margarita

Updated with TY KU Citrus Liqueur and turmeric, the “tangy, citrusy cocktail is refreshing to drink while relaxing on the Grocery Café deck and watching the paddleboarders drift by,” notes manager Janine Troilo. Deer Valley Grocery Café, 1375 Deer Valley Dr, 435.615.2400.

Whiskey Smash

Muddled with raspberries, mint, and fresh lime juice, this refreshingly fruity sip is best paired with the St. Regis’s Astor Terrace at sunset. J&G Grill at the St. Regis Deer Valley, 2300 Deer Valley Dr E, 435.940.5760.

Watermelon Spritz

Vida Tequila plus fresh-pressed watermelon juice, house-made ginger syrup, lime, Chambord, soda, and mint deliver a thirst-quenching, low-ABV delight you’ll want to sip on all summer long. The Farm, Canyons Village, 435.615.8080.
