Summer theatre sundance 2017 1 aprdcf

The 1,400-seat Eccles Stage Outdoor Amphitheater at Sundance Mountain Resort.

A visit to Sundance Mountain Resort in the summer is always well worth the trip. If you're catching a show at the Sundance Summer Theatre, here's everything you need to know before you go.

Seating: Options include prime bench seats ($38), regular bench seats ($32), or lawn seating ($24). Blankets are recommended on the lawn. Beach chairs are allowed, as long as they don’t exceed 24” in total height.

Parking: Arrive at least 30 minutes before you want to be seated. Traffic can be heavy, and lines start to form for lawn seating around 6:30 p.m. Resort staffers are on hand to help you find parking and direct you into the venue.

Food & Drink: No outside food or drink is allowed, but there are many options on site. Concessions include a BBQ dinner (at 6 p.m., $20), snacks, and beverages, including beer and wine. Guests may also purchase food at the Sundance Deli and resort restaurants.

Kids: Due to the late-evening show time, you may want to make this an event for ages eight years and up.

Weather: Sundance is at 6,100 feet and can be chilly, even in late summer. Bring blankets and wear layers. Small umbrellas are OK for rainy weather.

Dogs: No dogs allowed. Sorry, this is a humans-only event.

Lodging: Call to create custom lodging packages that include theater tickets or other amenities, like spa treatments, zip-line rides, and art studio classes.
