Okay procrastinators, the jig is up. You've delayed as much as you can and now the pre-holiday time crunch is upon us. If you're struggling to think of something unique to give, here are five unique, can't-go-wrong suggestions for great gifts that come with the extra perk of supporting local businesses.

1. Soul Poles

If there's a skier in your life, Soul Poles are the perfect gift they can use over and over again. Founded and designed by Bryon Friedman and Erik Schlopy, former U.S. Ski Team racers, Soul Poles are eco-friendly, extra-durable bamboo poles made right here in Park City. You can choose from two styles, original soul and soulLite, a variety of colors, and even add custom engravings. Plus, right now you can snag a deal during their holiday sale of 20 percent off the soulLite custom poles.  Find out the story behind this unique company here

2. Zenzee Shoes

Created by local Sharon Backurz, Zenzee offers a line of adorable slippers you can wear at home or around town. Not just mere slippers though, these knitted kicks are made from natural fibers so they stretch and form to your feet as you wear them and the rockered sole provides plenty of cushion and comfort. They come in a variety of colors and patterns, including a new option to personalize them with a university logo. You may also consider picking up a vintage-inspired graphic tee from Zenzee as well. The vintage-inspired styles use a clever mix of typography and pictures (like "love" muffin and "crab" apple).

3. LuMee Cell Phone Case

If you know someone who is obsessed with taking selfies, then you need to get them a LuMee phone case. Created by pro photographer Allan Shoemake, LuMee was inspired by a poorly lit Skype session with his daughter. Shoemake set out to solve the problem by making a phone case that could mimic quality studio lighting. First released in 2014, LuMee soon stormed social media and even caught the eye of Kim Kardashian West (who added fuel to the fire by showcasing it on her social media and TV outlets). So how does this connect back to Park City, you ask? Well, Shoemake and his wife picked Park City to be the headquarters of the company because they couldn't resist the outdoorsy culture, arts community, and proximity to an international airport.

4. Wild Woman Wander Gift Certificate

If there's a special nature-loving sister, mom, daughter, girlfriend, or wife in your life, consider the WANDER TRIO holiday gift package (valid for three 20 percent off Wanders) from the Wild Woman Tribe. This new group, founded by Park City local Renee Huang, focuses on building a female community in the outdoors through regular "Wander" sessions. All the Wander events feature slightly different activities (hiking, snowshoeing, mountain biking etc.) and facilitated discussions on a range of topics from identity to community, motivation, and more. Basically, you can count on delicious food (and drinks), meaningful conversation, new friends, and a healthy dose of outdoor adventure.

5. Alpine Distilling's Whiskey Aroma Game

Aroma Games are great for anyone who loves libations.

Shopping around for someone who fancies themselves a cocktail connoisseur? Instead of just picking up a bottle of booze, gift them an experience with Alpine Distilling's Aroma Game. This "drinking game" helps you elevate your appreciation of spirits by helping you develop your olfactory sense. Sign them up for a facilitated session of the Aroma Game and Whiskey Tasting at Alpine Distilling ($75) or buy a game kit ($149 - for trio of whiskey, wine, and gin) to take home. Note: The kits are available on a limited basis only for the 2017 Holiday Season.
